We hope that after reading this website you will be encouraged to come along for a free consultation with no obligation to proceed to surgery.

We prefer it if you go away to have a think about what we have said before deciding on surgery. After both consultation and surgery reports will be sent to your General Practitioner. No surgery is totally risk free but since 1987 we have had extremely good results.

The purpose of the surgery is to make it less likely that you will need to wear spectacles or contact lenses. No surgery is risk free. If there is any aspect of the documentation that you do not understand, please ask your Consultant before deciding if you wish to have the treatment. We also provide a list of consultation topics to make sure you receive the most comprehensive information you need.We appreciate that people can forget something they may have wanted to ask or think of new things after their consultation. Please don't hesitate to call if this happens.

There is no obligation to proceed to surgery after the consultation. We will send reports to your General Practitioner to keep them informed unless you ask us not to.

It is essential that you feel that you have had time to consider our advice prior to any treatment. We therefore prefer not to offer consultation and surgery on the same day. We understand that there may be travel or other reasons, but in any case you are asked to leave the Centre at least for a few hours to consider the surgeon’s advice. A further report is sent to your GP at the conclusion of treatment.

PATIENTS ARE REQUESTED TO REMOVE THEIR LENSES A MINIMUM OF FIVE DAYS (IN THE CASE OF GAS PERMEABLE AND HARD LENSES: TWO WEEKS) PRIOR TO CONSULTATION AND SURGERY OTHERWISE YOUR MEASUREMENTS MAY NOT BE ACCURATE, AS LENSES CAN CAUSE WARPING OF THE CORNEA WHICH TAKES TIME TO SETTLE  AND  LEAD TO  LESS THAN PERFECT RESULTS
